PRESENCE,
WITH ROOM TO ADAPTBirth can be intense, tender, surprising, funny, and totally unpredictable. I bring attention, practical problem-solving, hands-on support, and warmth - responding to what you need in the moment.
THE EXPERIENCE I BRING TO THE BIRTH ROOM
My path to birth work is personal and professional. After years of medical care where I did not always feel heard or trusted, my own births were the first healthcare experiences where I felt listened to, trusted in my own body, and surrounded by people who believed in me. That experience changed what I believed care could feel like – and is one of the main reasons I became a doula. I want all families to feel that same dignity, respect, and strength, whatever their birth looks like.
Before becoming a doula, I spent more than a decade in international humanitarian and development work, helping people navigate complex and uncertain situations. Today, I bring those same skills into birth support for Philadelphia families: listening closely, communicating with care, building trust, and staying steady when families need it most.
I have completed full-spectrum doula training and am currently finishing my certification requirements.
